Hey what's up
Guess what. I've got actual news rather than hockey blather. And pictures! Everyone loves pictures, right?
This is my ride these days. A reliable Swede, therefore called Hank. Gotta say, Volvo's are growing on me, and my affection for this one especially is increasing. Can never compare to my baby, though.
After Accounting class I swung by Nordstrom and got these. They were on sale 50% off plus I still had a Nordstrom gift card... so I ended up paying $27 for them. When I first saw them I absolutely died, I thought they were gorgeous, and then I looked at the price and became infuriated. I thought I would faint when they went on clearance (and were still outlandishly expensive, for what they are...)
I am fucking obsessed with this book. James Ellroy is amazing. I've read a bunch of his short stories, and I read The Black Dahlia, but this is even better. It is so goddamn great.
In fact, it's so fucking great I used a Wayne Gretzky card as a bookmark.
Speaking of books, did you know that if you leave them on the dashboard of your car during the hottest part of the day in direct sunlight, the binding melts? I sure didn't!

I've also been swimming a lot recently. My grandmother got a new pool vac and it is gorge. The water's still pretty cold but since my body temperature is approximately 83 degrees anyway I adjust to it pretty quickly.
I saw this dude on my way back from Accounting class.
Do you think he's a Toronto fan, or just a patriotic Canadian? Or is there another meaning to Maple Leafs of which I am unaware? (Or does it not even mean maple leaf?!)
I don't have terribly much to think about on my way back from Accounting class.
I start working at Hollister tomorrow. I'm kind of nervous... but not terribly. I have so low expectations that something truly disastrous has to happen for this to go down at a failure. Also, how the hell did I get a job at Hollister but not Gamestop? I mean, I learned I'm secretly white trash/Canadian -- can they see beyond the surface and discern that I'm secretly... popular?
Woohoo to Ovie for getting the Hart and the Rocket Richard and the Pearson again. Next year you'll get the hardware that really matters, baby. Sergei Fedorov gets hotter every time I see him. Goddamn.
