I'm pretty sure I did okay on today's quiz. There was only one question I really ended up blanking on; and I got at least 2 of the extra credits, or I'm pretty sure I did, so I should be fine. Also, we started late and my professor had a meeting to go to, so we got to leave as soon as we were done. Bonus!
So after class I headed over to North Campus to have my ears cleaned and my knee looked at. My ear seems a little better; I think it's still got water in it so I'll have to wait til it drains fully to really know whether the declogging worked. The verdict on the knee is that it's probably some kind of tendinitis, and that the acewrap is a good idea (they gave me a bigger one to experiment with), and I should try ibuprofen and ice after the games and see if that helps. Good deal. Ibuprofen I know I can manage; the icing part might be a little tricky since I have to go to bed so soon after I get home. Not much time to ice it. But still, it's a plan.
After that I went over to the caf and splurged on some sushi. Delicious sushi. Om nom nom nom. my caf spoils us rotten, yes it does. (other than the fuzzy brie, the caf has been largely good to me. I ... dude. They have sushi. Decent sushi, too.)
So, all in all, it's been a good day so far. I'm not even all that tired, although I will probably start flagging in a couple of hours. That's what usually happens on after-hockey days.
Still considering whether or not to go home for Thanksgiving. I just have no enthusiasm for it. Other than perhaps visiting with my brother.

I love this meme. It boils my journal down to its absolute essence.
- Write a list of characters and number them.
- Input the number of characters into this random number generator as the maximum and generate two numbers.
- Ramble about how the corresponding pairing/partnership/general interaction would (or, indeed, wouldn't) work. Perhaps write a snippet/one-sentence fic for it if you're feeling brave.
- Repeat to your heart's content.

I was just looking over some of the writing I did for NaNoWriMo in 2004, and, whilst much of it makes me cringe (the wordcount-padding is embarrassingly obvious), this part rather amused me:
Hero was making a valiant effort to remain calm, but it was terribly difficult. Love Interest, kidnapped? He would obviously have to do something about it.
Friend had teased Hero sometimes that he was falling in love with Love Interest, but he generally just ignored it. She was his friend. Nothing more. The fact that her name happened to be ‘Love Interest’ was clearly an unfortunate coincidence.
MY GOODNESS, SHE'S BEEN KIDNAPPED? I SHALL OBVIOUSLY HAVE TO DO SOMETHING ABOUT THAT.
Also, I am mildly bewildered by the fact that one of the characters, Tai, is totally Sokka. I wrote this four years before watching Avatar and several months before Avatar even began, but he is still totally Sokka. How bizarre.

I'm in Movie Music Class and the tutor's playing action movie music and it's driving me slowly mad because I keep hearing how the MG2 soundtrack is basically all subtle Jimmy Hart versions of the entire 80s action movie canon.

the moral is - to avoid incredibly detailed, IC and vivid sex dreams involving Blondie/Tuco, do not watch spaghetti Westerns before bed.
....My brain was coming up with direction, too. And music. Tuco's wail of climax even morphed into his human-voice-yelling motif.
It was bizarre. I'd almost say it was the kind of thing Ocelot would fap to except he obviously ships Blondie/Angel Eyes.

This weekend has been intense, to say the least.
First off, I've managed to find seasons 2 and 3 of Big Wolf on Campus and I have been watching random episodes of it on and off in my spare time. It's kind of soothing. The show's got some great references and is very kitsch.
Anyway, Friday, I got to go hang out with Bellatrix and watch anime for a while before Amy and I headed to Repo practice. It was so much fun! I will hopefully be able to start in December or January. Also (best part) I'll be playing Shiloh! One of the guys who played Nathan to my Shi was super intense and totally kissed me on the head and everything in the first scene. I also played Pavi a bit and got groped by some genterns. And then felt up by two different Graverobbers (one of them was the one at the Academy show which is like EEEEE OMG He's awesome!). I can't wait to see who will play Nathan with me. I'm secretly kind of hoping it'll be the guy I have a massive crush on, but that would give me super major daddy issues for the role lol.
Saturday, I was going to go to the Topataco meet and great, but Mel's car broke down, so, instead, Chelsea and I had a one mile adventure walk back to campus in rain that suddenly turned torrential. It was wacky, man. After that, I went to game and Miss Kitty got killed! I'm honestly really sad about loosing her (maybe) as a character, but the GM motivation behind it is sound (I coupe'd their boss, so they coupe'd me). However, she might get resurrected because Buddy (er, Leaf...er, Harlin) is bartering with someone/something to have her brought back by using not only the lives of Sam and Mama Legba, but also his own life. If Kitty does get brought back, Harlin sure as hell better not die! If not, well, I'll be sad, but I'll suck it up. Plus, then I get to be Shi Nigami (her tentative name for now), the sushi huckster!
Anyway, today was nice, but I had to wake up early to go to work after a fitful night of sleeping. Part of me wants to go to sleep right now and skip the Venture Bros tonight. But...but I love them.
